  • Preheat your oven to 180簞C (350簞F) for 10 minutes.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the egg and sugar until the mixture turns white and foamy.
    1 egg, 1/4 cup sugar
  • Add the oil (or melted butter) to the egg and sugar mixture. Mix well.
    1/4 cup oil
  • Sift the all-purpose flour and baking powder into the mixture. Gently fold and mix until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
1/2 cup all-purpose flour, 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • Add the chopped mangoes to the cake batter and lightly mix them in.
    1/4 cup mangoes
  • Brush a small cake mold with a little oil to prevent sticking. Pour the cake batter into the mold.
  • Tap the mold lightly to remove any air bubbles.
  • Place the mold in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • While the cake is baking, prepare the milk cream. In a pot, mix the milk and milk powder. Add sugar to taste. Stir constantly over medium-high heat until the milk thickens and turns slightly yellow in color. Remove from heat and let it cool to room temperature.
1/2 liter milk, 1/3 cup powder milk, 2 tbsp sugar
  • Once the milk cream has cooled, add the mango puree and mix well.
    1/2 cup mango puree
  • After removing the cake from the oven, poke it with a fork to create holes. Pour the milk cream over the hot cake, allowing it to soak in. Reserve some milk cream for serving.
  • Allow the cake to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for 1-2 hours before serving.
  • Decorate the cake with crushed nuts and mango pieces. Optionally, you can add whipped cream on top.

  1. Make sure the egg is at room temperature before whisking with the sugar. This will help in achieving a light and fluffy texture for the cake batter.
  2. If you prefer a lighter texture, you can substitute oil with melted butter in the cake batter.
  3. Use ripe and sweet mangoes for the best flavor. You can adjust the sweetness of the milk cream by adding more or less sugar according to your taste.
  4. Be careful not to overmix the cake batter to avoid a dense texture. Mix until the ingredients are just combined.
  5. While pouring the milk cream over the cake, ensure that the cake is still hot. This will allow the cream to soak into the cake and enhance the flavors.
  6. Allow the cake to cool completely and refrigerate it for a few hours before serving. This will help the flavors to meld together and make it easier to slice.
  7. You can decorate the cake with your choice of crushed nuts or additional mango pieces for added texture and visual appeal.
  8. Serve the Mango Cream Cake chilled and accompany it with the reserved milk cream for an extra creamy and indulgent experience.
